Before Holden could react, Ariana started singing and spinning around the room.
Holden let out a sigh. He understood that Ariana was so drunk that she didn’t know what she was doing. Otherwise, she wouldn’t be singing so loudly.
He could only say softly, “Be careful.” Then, he watched her jumping around the room, following her closely in case she bumped herself into any corner. Finally, when he saw she couldn’t stop, he picked her up directly and carried her to the bed. Then, he wiped her sweat with the warm towel and said, “Okay, that’s enough. It’s time for bed.”
“No, I don’t want to sleep. Unless… You! Sing a song for me,”
Ariana said like a spoiled child.
Holden felt resigned. He let her lie down, sat on the edge of the bed, and hummed a tune while gently patting her back.
